Sometime I forget how wacky and fun the 90's were for Marvel... they tried so often to be dark and such, but much of the time, it turned out to be zany fun... I remember CapWolf.
And the Wolverine, Lord of the Vampires... correct me if I'm wrong, but as a vampire, couldn't he turn into a winged-wolf?
Man, that feels like a lifetime ago.
Good times.

Well, there's the new Flash Thompson Venom who's a government agent that uses guns, but it's rare to see the original, bruttish Eddie Brock version armed this way. I think that's why the original What If? stories were so cool--they seemed WAY out of continuity and as a result always felt fresh.

Think I read that the original pitch involved Galactus, but since he was tied up in Cataclysm, they went for another cosmic-level antagonist.

I think this is actually THE Capwolf that appeared in those 90s Captain America issues.Β How this happens in the story, I don't know, but yeah, it's Capwolf.
