Noble Savage is a signature character from the CITY OF HEROES expansion CITY OF HEROES: GOING ROGUE and one of my personal favorites. I really enjoy the character's mysterious, tragic storyline.Incidently, 'Noble Savage' was also my handle on the official COH forums.

David, the art on Noble Savage is truly awesome, both your concept art, and the final in-game art. Including the little reference to Lost, which The Wife™ thinks is pretty cool.
Now that I'm free to talk about it, learning Noble Savage's background was a great story. And after learning it, if I was in your position, I think I'd probably snag it as my redname, too. Good call!!

Ha ha. Thanks, man. Glad you caught the Lost ref. I'm a huge fan (and the show's jungle scenes were shot just down the street from my parents' house in Hawaii!!)
I really got to love Noble Savage's backstory as I was chatting back and forth with the Designers who originally wrote it. Did everything I could to make it come alive through the visual character design.

That'd be cool, but so far, I don't think ANY mmo has been able to given clearance to run on consoles. PS3 and Xbox don't appear to be too keen on it.

How long have you practiced and worked in the industry, David? Currently trying to break in myself (Digital Animation Course at Uni) and, I've got to say, looking at the sort of stuff I'm up against just makes me feel completely doomed...

I'm curious, from a, hmm, background point of view. How many concept arts did you make for, say, Savage, from the establishment of this look to final model? I'd assume there were more, for stuff like his back et cetera.
