I swear this was haning in my jr high leg-up reading class. with some simple insperational poem about "stick-to-itiveness" at the bottom.
I guess it's ok. but it looks kinda cut and paste, and pretty.. um.. you know, like a simple photo in a calender for preteens, kinda stuff.
I don't think the light sources are working out for you, but hey, it's not like you took the photos or anything. ...
it's all rather pretty, and silly.
but I keep asking myself, why?
it kina looks like a cheesy blue screen effect too, with the girl in front.
your drawing on here is much better. and your other art in your gallery.. it's you know. art. and pretty awesome. you very talented. but I don't see any reason for this to exist other than to sell to a calender company, as a basic picture for a month like september or april. on the other hand, the composition isn't terrible like almost everything else on DA.
sorry if this is all alittle overboard, but to me photomanipulation is to art, as heating up week old chineese food in the microwave is to cooking.

have you looked around DA much? I don't see what does have decent composition, or more than a thought towards placement. yours is beyond bascially putting everything in the exact center of the work. so I say it's ok, in the sense that I think you actually thought about composition. or at least know what the word means.
it seemed from the descriptions on other of your deviations that you worked in graphic design, I figured as much.
but yeah. this would be perfect fodder for a calender, or insperational poster that will age badly in a jr. high classroom, you should cash in for sure (I would).
if it's fun I guess that's cool. DA can't really be more than a hobby to me. I just can't equate the opportunity cost vs. benefit in my head for photomanip. it seems like more than 10 seconds of effort and kinda silly melodramaic poster art at the end. so you know. I guess that has more to do with it. but you know. whatever works.
it's too bad you don't do traditional art much (that's what I get from your comments) I acutally was working fulltime+overtime+partime-job-on-the-side for awhile and got probaly the most art done I've ever done, in a three month period, with only two three hours to sleep/eat/bath/paint a day, I guess it made me realize my priorties. anyway. there's no justification for what I do either, I know, I just like the veiw from a high horse.

What a wonderful sky! Those vibrant colors give the whole work a surreal and dreamlike atmosphere. Judging by the title I would guess that this is some sort of Doomsday scenario? At least it is a beautiful one; but it could also just be the silence before the storm, if you get my drift. Leaves plenty of space for personal interpretation; something I like in art. I think you did a terrific job!

Realy lovely. I especially like the strands in the hair and curling ribbons.
Everything works wonderfully.
