Nyet, nyet, she yelled as the sun rose, its light creeping upon her skin. She was afraid. Afraid of light and the pain and what it meant. But she was frozing. A statue atop the Harz Mountains. Her mate had abandoned her, though not even he could make it back to Kassel.Semper fi dur nacht! she exclaimed. A final statement to her life of image and lie. Impersonation. Punishable by death. And frozen immortality.
