i like the drawing for this one but i got really lazy because i was running out of time ... i was going to add more stuff in the background instead of just plain red, and maybe i'll add it later if i have timemarkers

i see where you're coming from tho, my initial sketch was actually of a woman with a red coat instead of the plaid one so i guess i was really hell-bent on keeping some red in it, even if it didn't look that good

The coat is a really nice touch, I never would have thought of something like that but it works perfectly. I am also in love with how you drew the airedale's neck and head.

mostly prismacolors, the background is chartpak though. they are so smooth and full of ink and not streaky like prismas or copics oh my god i love them but i can never find any place to buy them

dang. are they very pricey? my main beef with prisma is like: i just wanna buy a grey marker. okay cool. even with my art store discount it's like 3 bucks. chartpak ehhhh?

it's been a while since i bought one but they're about the same amount i think, dick blick has them online at $2.50
the main problem is they aren't sold very many places!! i can never find them!
also they smell horrible (yes worse than regular markers) and their ink is kind of bleedy, like it's almost TOO full of ink? which makes it good for large flat areas but bad for layering colors or making textures. all in all they are great for a lot of things though and i want moooore!!!!

this is the best use of markers i've seen, it's so uniform!?! I like the bright red and how it contrasts with the duller browns

mostly prismacolors, i used a chartpak for the background though. chartpaks are crazy good at filling large areas because they go down so smooth and NEVER RUN OUT OF INK I THINK IT TOOK ME LIKE A YEAR TO RUN OUT OF THEM
