Description Mercury Plant

It was getting dark
as if night had hit
and no one had ever mentioned it,
we were sitting in an old warehouse
drinking coffee and watching the light fade,
this was a place where they make TNT
for gold mining in Brazil
and closing oil wells down in the Gulf,
a bunch of ex-Nazis started it around 1948
they're all gone now
but some Mexicans took it over in the 1990s,
no one smokes here
you light a match
and someone will shoot you,
last week a few boxes disappeared
we're still wondering where all that TNT went to

Trinitrotoluene (pronounced /ˌtraɪnaɪtrɵˈtɒljʉ.iːn/; famously known and abbreviated as TNT), or more specifically, 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene, is a chemical compound with the formula C6H2(NO2)3CH3. This yellow-coloured solid is sometimes used as a reagent in chemical synthesis, but it is best known as a useful explosive material with convenient handling properties. The explosive yield of TNT is considered to be the standard measure of strength of bombs and other explosives. In chemistry, TNT is used to generate charge transfer salts.

are you talking about the Polaroids?
I'll tell you if that is what you mean.
Maybe not for all to see, more privatley
i protect these little things someone said to me recently.

I just started shooting Polaroids after not for many months

Yes that is what I mean, well I'd love it if you took the time to note me. I do love what you do, but sometimes when you don't understand something it makes it harder to love. If you understand what I mean.

Oh no, I'm not popular, I think most of them must be deviations from all the clubs. It takes me ages to look through them, and it always seems like I am never done.

I will write and tell. And your silence
and confidentiality of the technique will be greatly
appreciated. Secrets to the secret secured. Sensations
and polar opposites travel the space between.
The men spoke in hushed tones at the cafe, they knew what they
knew, if it got out could change things, could rearrange things
could take the light out pf the day and put the dark in her eyes.
Tippy canoe and Tyler too was their cry,
the revolution was about to begin.

just had fun there

I do understand in what you say,
I always search how some do what I love to see.
In school i was a technique searcher.
I still am.

the fool such as I
never stopped till i figured it out

Lovely words.. and of course, I know how to keep secrets.
You know, I haven't really been interested in techniques that much but sometimes I see something and it really makes me wonder

thanks
yes i can imagine...good

maybe in time you will, as when you concentrate on
say a particular art form, you start getting interested in
things like that, how to do things and how to repeat them sometimes

wonder is good
more wonder girl

Very beautiful, Doc. Great story in the comments too.
I take it this is a distressed Polaroid print? How do you do this - in general terms - if you don't mind me asking?

DocSonian In reply to RichardLeach [2010-06-30 21:22:54 +0000 UTC]

Often i enjoy the writing more
the technique here involves chemicals
(I no longer use)
and some general painting techniques,
tricks i have learned along the way
this shot was done in maybe 2008

thanks for the thought
I do Polaroid when painting is held up by either boredom
or a block
right now at the end of this block of the boredom
