Description This one I did awhile ago.

While Rome burns and the hands of velvet take the steering.

We all get tired of getting fooled.

Now is the time we should just stare into horizon where the blue of the sky meets the dark green of the waterline

not sure how to use them
maybe i'll burn them...

DocSonian In reply to SLPdomain [2009-01-28 02:44:38 +0000 UTC]

ahhh don't burn them
I wish I had them
ran out
I am out of film
as of those shoes i did yesterday

use them
abuse them
shoot one thing ten times and do a series before you maybe slide them into a toaster
a microwave
or on a hot hot sunny day with a magnify glass held like you are trying to fry a bug like maybe you too did when you were a kid

or save them for that last moment
when you realize you want them
and forgot you saved them

i did the microwave
talk about sparkling
i freaked out...
didn't get to far in the burning session--
but will try the magnify glass---(
hmmmmmmmmm
toaster...
i am going to toast the polaroid...

DocSonian In reply to SLPdomain [2009-02-01 21:18:23 +0000 UTC]

ahhh yes...the microwave
a short time does a lot
some fumes maybe
but we are talking art
the toaster is fun
stick it in
leave in while film is processing
experiment
'takes time to decide how long to stick it in
The 'Artistic' Polaroid film reacts better
the 600 is dicier
but a good meltdown I have gotten some cool results'
like with my Fig Tree series

but I love the edges ya get with the microwave
not sure what it does to the microwave
i really did not care

maybe you have seen
crackly crinkly cracks of cracks on the white border edges

the magnify glass you would need a hot hot sunny hot
did i say hot day
but that is fun
I did one in Venice over xmas
my dad thought i was nuts till he saw the results

but it is winter here and the sun is out but not hot enough

try lighting a book of matches all at once as you hold the polaroid in processing mode
face down
that is fun
got some very cool results there

let me see what else
have not tried the oven
seems slow and well less control
well not like these other ideas i have have great control
but try them
you will maybe lose some
destroy some
get mad at some
get mad at me
the world
but you just may get something you will say
hey he is not as crazy as i thought

but the sparkling in the microwave is a bit alarming
but so is putting in tin foil with paper wrapped around over a burrito and not knowing and hearing that sound

think we will all survive it

The oven isn't really worth it, no. It's been a long time since I microwaved mines.
I used to put the whole pack in it before use. Breaks it or make it.

Such difficult choices.
Paper ---not bugs...only the boys did that.
*
hmmmmm....microwave and toast.
seeped in black coffee--stir abit in red red wine...and then let out in the sun---
*
its good to have limits-
in a generation that knows not rations--- to have only 10--- should make them extra special.
its the waiting for the right moment --which may never come---and then ---amongst storage--
those ten will one day be found---not by i---
good motivation to make them work.
*
i feel inspired...
but they have to be a masterpiece....or perhaps that is shooting too high.
after all they are of the barrel of the polariod fame. --which means i could probablly get more--although they are really freaking expensive.

got some film today
so you never know

I now prefer toaster or microwave more old school
and lets sparkling fireworks
(metal in the Polaroid)

yes each has to be a masterpiece
this is not playing cards

soon you will read about someone hijacking the last van of Polaroid film

very expensive and hard to find the good stuff

sounds like something a friend said years ago about drugs

when u microwave---it is after the picture is taken?
i am talking the cheap 600 film...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DocSonian In reply to SLPdomain [2009-01-29 03:22:32 +0000 UTC]

well not so easy with the 600
but
yes right during it coming up,
developing or right after
I have tried all
the Fig tree series
think i have a couple up are those
some just fried
but i still like
The Polaroid 'Artistic" film is farrrrrrrrrrr better
hard to get
600 is all she wrote in the stores here
in Europe they still sell the others
but i am in the Bay Area
so it be harder
as they say

too bad they stopped the 'Time Zero'
that time was a fine
and the zero like Nero
sublime

i have torn apart 600 film--the guts of it--and have played with it--
but --i have lacked inspiration---
i must say--that of late---viewing those who flow with more artistic inclinations---i feel to do something---
but then time passes too quickly----and i never do --waiting for the imaginary motivation of a muse---with is in reality muself...but i tire-----but
i must get the 10 done----
its a challenge -being in a location that is not familiar and temporary and so not me...

DocSonian In reply to SLPdomain [2009-01-29 05:45:17 +0000 UTC]

yes me too
some fun things when you rip something apart

maybe your location is the problem, but as i see it
someone so obviously prolific as you are from what i see
one might just have to look a bit farther on the horizon
to deal with the ten
the ten will not be your titanic
but your new moon
