Part of a now defunct fan project, these were available to purchase for a short while. All profits from them were and will be donated to Toys For Tots."What's that? Speak up boy! Cyberponies on Castrovalva, you say? Well, all good things must come to a bend. Come along Miss Hooves, pack up the Jelly Babies and Allons-y!"
Let me start by saying that I am several kinds of nerd. One of which is a massive Doctor Who nerd, I've actually seen almost all of every series, from the 1st all the way up to the 11th. Well, I skipped most of Colin Baker, but I think that's excusable. The 6th Doctor kinda sucked.
So on that note, when this spiky maned background pony with the hourglass cutie mark began to appear on the show, it didn't take long for people to notice his striking resemblance to the tenth Doctor, David Tennant. I dunno if some animator is just a sly Doctor Who fan or what, but the fans took to it. The shoe was a blast to design. The traditional side body color and cutie mark are there, but the tongue has a stylized image of the TARDIS doors, and the heel shows a larger image of the police star on the door. It's based off the first Doctor's TARDIS, but I guess also the current, since they went with a classic TARDIS exterior. By far my favorite shoe, since I'm such a fanboy for these kinds of things. I actually saved up and got a pair of these myself.
Fun fact, the item description up there contains references to five specific Doctors. Kudos to the first person to guess them correctly.

There are FOUR incarnations of Doctor who running around as ponies thanks to the fact there are indeed Doctor who fans among the MLP-FiM writers/artists and while he is his own pony there is enough mystery left for the fans of the pony doctor to insure that he will have his own fans for generations to come and one of my headcanons is that the pony doctor mentioned some traumatic event happing in his foalhood that led him down the path of a science pony... For me that event was meeting a certain timelord in a certain blue box that caused him to modal his life after him and thus become the pony doctor or came from Gallopfrey... It's my hope that more about him will beΒ seenΒ Β but until then... He is the pony doctor and always will be..Β BTW...Jelly bean anybody?.. NOM!

i love u. that's all i can say, because I'm so blown away by the awesome you've created with this shoe. Doctor Who is one of my favourite series, along with MLP (who isn't a brony these days?). i am going to buy these an get rid of all of my other shoes. thank you for being 20% cooler than anyone else (besides Jesus) that I've ever met!

Not sure on McCoy tho, it COULD be Pertwee (3rd) instead, the wording is similar to how both of them might speak, and the specific reference isn't coming to me (Been too long since I got to see the old series).

Oh no, definately Colin! I was watching the Twin Dilemma today. Sure it has problems (mostly the terrible music/direction/slugs) but it is one of the few Classic Who stories that is actually /about/ the Doctor.
It is one of those 'received wisdoms' in fandom that Colin Baker is the worst, which people just go along with. Just like The Gunfighters is supposed to be one of the worst stories ever, but if you watch it, it is actually fantastic.

It's all a matter of opinion, friend. I'm not joking when I say I've watched every series, that includes a good share of C. Baker. Well, kinda hard now to watch the Troughton episodes, but I have as much of the audio tracks as I could find.
Anyway, that coat, man. Seriously. Plus he was kindof a douche compared to other Doctors. Not that the Doctor has never been arrogant or mean, but even Hartnell never pimp smacked his assitants.
But yeah, he was a good guy at heart. I just personally didn't like him.

Definately worth checking out the Big Finish plays, they may change your mind of his Doctor.
But saying that, Harnell is the only Doctor to have used a rock to try and to bash in the skull of a defenseless unconscious man!
