They're pretty good, actually. Some nice tie ins to Blake's 7, but the fact they build towards the return of the Fendahl is pretty cool

Could you imagine if he had lived and traveled with the doctor? Might have been more popular than K-9 (though I have no problem with the robot dog)

Yeah, I pretty much forgot Kamelion existed until Planet of Fire. They almost might as well have not taken him. He could have been useful in the Resurrection of the Daleks

Maybe they thought that he would be too much of a deus ex machina, and only wanted him to lead to Peri's intro (did anything else happen in that episode by the way

Nah, apparently the robot was too hard to program and the guy who created him died not long after the first story, so pretty much no one knew how to use him. As such, lock him away and never speak of him again (except until someone remembered him...although there was another story which had a deleted scene featuring Kamelion...)
Err, yeah, aside from Peri in a pink bikini (which is definitely the highlight of that story) the Master apparently dies and Turlough goes home

So he just sat in a room in the TARDIS and then suddenly activated and thought, "this is my chance to see Peri in a bikini," and then he died happy knowing he got to see her in all her glory.
