It's a very ncie picture. Green jay... hm, we don't have those around here; all we have is blue jays and they're boring. This shot is bright and catchy. A very attractive piece over all.
The subject (the green jay) commands most of the attention and that is the one detracting part of this piece. Since the subject is so colorful and eye catching your eyes fix on that and the background falls away. The key to great photography is to make the viewer's eye travel around the picture in a circle. Here, my eye wants to stay on the green jay and not look at the rest of the shot. Still, it's a very flashy shot and that's more than half the battle!

exellent pic...but you seem to have a proble putting the suject in contrast with the background...if you can put the main theme in a btter way you'll be the man and you' earn the 2 thumbvs up--because now you have only one of my thumbs up...
