Picture to go with this little story - Love WarriorWhen Starling came into his first rut, he didn’t really go out looking for a doe. He always had been tall and sturdy and to be honest, he enjoyed wrestling and trying his strengths with the other young bucks a lot more, than his mind was on does.
He knew, his parents secretly had hoped he would find his one doe in his first rut, his one doe that his mother was to his father, his one doe that would keep him home, like it had made his mother return home from her travels. Starling, however, knew he had to see the world first, see the world not just through his mother’s stories, but with his own eyes. Make his own stories of adventure and sing his own songs of legends from far away, foreign heroes and gods.
He had promised his parents to wait for his first rut to pass though and Starling kept what he promised, besides that, he really enjoyed the sparring with the other stags to some point, even if he never had been and probably never would be one to quickly pick a fight. On the

Meanwhile Starling is being his Hippie-self, defending another guy's doe, so she can stay with him.
That happens when your mom is a femenist Cape Splinter doe and raises you to respect them ladies, while your dad is a Point Splinter Dude, teaching you to always do what you please, just like the wind.
