Too tempted by the rare find to leave it behind your fawnling scoops up the lost egg and hurries back to their den! With great care they use their crude skills to craft a small resting place for it where it can be kept warm until the being inside decides to hatch out. It wiggles around every once in a while so it must be close to hatching!!
A day passes by and when morning dawns your fawnling looks excitedly to the egg to see….

Egg shells lay scattered around the makeshift nest. The Egg hatched!! But what came out? Looking around your fawnling finds nothing at first but after nosing through the leaves and grasses their nose bumps right into….
At first, you don’t see anything amongst the leaves, so you decide to carefully disassemble the nest. With nowhere left to hide your eyes lock with the eyes of another! It seems there was a little creature inside that egg after all!
Your character has found an uncommon pet!

Something shining! Squirting your eyes you stretch your head forwards, and pick whatever it is out of the leaves.
