Beautiful shot, you've captured the intense feeling of despair in a simple composition. The character looks as if she's in a vacuum of sorrow. All the white around her isolates her and makes her seem small in comparison to the surrounding world, and the vertical gate behind her brings prison bars to mind. You've expressed a great deal of emotion here with minimal approach that speaks much more loudly than if the piece were more cluttered and busy. Great work!

Strange how the white always seems to make everything look lighter instead. Now it just beats down on the figure like heavy fog.
