Nice character and concept! A cat that doubles as an airplane just sounds amazing- it reminds me of the Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro. Though I have to say if you're trying to make the cat look like they're made of paper, I recommend overlaying a texture of some kind.
It's easiest to find a paper texture you like on Google Images- it would probably be good to credit whoever made or uploaded the texture, of course.
The best way to overlay a texture and still preserve the colors is to put the texture in a Clipping Mask layer and set the layer style to Luminosity, or Multiply if you're using white paper.
Alternatively, you could draw them so that they actually look "flat", so that when the tail bends, for example, there would be a line and shading indicating a "fold" in the paper.
You could also combine the drawing style and the texture to make the effects even more paper-y! I think The Amazing World of Gumball did it pretty well: Image link

Oh, whoops! Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the character from Gumball was animated using this method, because she definitely wasn't. I'm just saying that using these methods would make the drawing look pretty similar to that character.
Sorry for the misunderstanding! I only included the image because it looked very similar to the outcome of overlapping the two methods I mentioned- it has nothing to do with the actual effects.
If you want, I could find an image that actually uses the effect I mentioned?
