This reminds me of something I learn of equines in the past.

The original horses, before they were domesticated, had larger heads and shorter legs - Like donkeys - than our current domestic horse.
We bred them to look like that, long-legs and smaller heads. It's not nature's doing.

I do know, though, that wild horses aren't/weren't as aggressive as wild donkeys.

Wild donkeys are vicious.

That's strangely fitting to the people there as well.

I hear, partially from my Irish heritage, that the Irish (Not all of them) tend to be short, and feisty, and stubborn.   Donkeys are the same.

We've been planning to visit Ireland soon someday, my family. It would be exciting for us, since some of our ancestors, and even more modern relatives, come from there.   Some among my siblings show Irish things such as red hair. My sister has that. Nearly all of us have wavy or curling hair, too. And also the personality... >_>  There's 5 of us, all my siblings and me. 3 of us are rather hot-tempered, and apparently, I am one of the three.

I just visited Ireland, and i gotta tell ya, it's amazing there! The mountains were glorious (i've never seen mountains before) and the people were kinda short there hehe. But they are very kind and patient, like the most patient and kind you can ever be! And one thing i like about irish people is what they say: ''Thanks a million'' and ''Excuse me/Sorry'' everytime they touch you or go past you!

It's just so sweet ;3;

Well, I don't mean their impolite -  I just mean, like the way I had that debate with that one person, I don't expect them to be shy, or to fail to stand up for themselves or others.

I tend to face emotional anger in acts of being defensive. I imagine everyone does.  I don't actually think hot tempers are bad.   They just need to be controlled.

I like to think of it this way -  A hot temper, stubbornness, argumentativeness, are like a weapon. Like a knife, or a gun. Are knives and guns, in themselves, directly evil? No, actually, I don't think so. In fact, they're very good when it comes to defending yourself, or others.    At the same time, some people use these things for very bad purposes, such as murder.   Meaning, you can use a knife or a gun, to defend people, or to hurt them. Having no weapon is not necessarily the answer (It is if you can't control it.) since then you can't defend people. Better to learn how to use your stubbornness and temper, for good, right things. Then, it's definitely better than nothing at all.

My family tends to be rather proud of our Irish heritage. But it comes from a more ancient time of Ireland, when they immigrated here and stuff. 200-something years ago.
