They're referring to when Avatar Aang and Katara, dressed as the Painted Lady saved a village.So originally this Painted Lady/Kyoshi thing started out as a joke but now I kinda ship it. Or at least friendship it.

Well the painted lady and Kyoshi both wear face paint and reside in the spirit world in AtLA, so I drew a pic of them together just because.

Yeah, but I'm sure the idea originated with the same thought- hey, the Painted Lady and Kyoshi have sort of similar facepaint.
BTW, looking at my original comment again, I just want to make clear I wasn't trying to be pretentious like, "you should be crediting me for this idea," I was more saying oh, here's some more art like this, if you're collecting it . . . and please give credit, like any other art.
