This is a very important piece of art for me

a friend asked me to draw a dog that was recently euthanized

Unfortunately, in my clinical practice I encounter death more often than I would like. It's still hard for me because I'm just starting out in this field

Every time I have a hard time holding back my tears, because I feel very deep empathy for the owners of the animals who brought them for euthanasia, besides, I always feel sorry for the animals. But this is a really good decision, it shows the love of the owners, because they choose the most calm and painless way for their pets to die. I, in turn, always try to calm the animal on the operating table, hold their head in my arms and stroke them while they fall asleep

I want it to be soft and comfortable for them

I want to be a good veterinarian for them
