Bowletta confirmed for being based off from the original Bowser sprite from the game. It just never went through my head... And I've played Superstar Saga tons of times!

Great work! It would be neat if in the next Smash Bros., some of the characters had alternate costumes, like Mario's alt. being Dr. Mario and Bowser's being this look.

The fire looks fine when those certain Bowser statues breathe fire, but I guess the programmers were too lazy to flip the fire around when it was being shot.
