Read it (A really long time ago). Didn't picture the Overlords as quite so sinister looking... The story (somewhat altered) has been released in a 3 DVD set, if you're interested.

Oh I love it, mate we need a Karellan picture, in the first time he appears to humanity, that dramatization with 2 childs one in every arm and the spaceship on the back, like the protector he is. You will be famous!!

At first he looked like a demon to me, but when I looked closer I realized, that this glorious aliens visage mirrored Satan himself.
