Ford Mustang 1965
The Ford Mustang is an automobile manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. It was initially based on the Ford Falcon, a compact car. Production began in Dearborn, Michigan on 9 March 1964 and the car was introduced to the public on 17 April 1964 at the New York World's Fair.

It was Ford's most successful launch since the Model A.

Executive stylist John Najjar, who was a fan of the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter plane, suggested the name.

The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American automobile - sports car-like sedans with long hoods and short rear decks - and gave rise to competitors such as GM's Camaro, AMC's Javelin, and Chrysler's revamped Barracuda. It also inspired coupés such as the Toyota Celica and Ford Capri, which were exported to America.

Mustangs grew larger and heavier with each model year until, in response to the 1971-1973 models, fans of the original 1964 design wrote to Ford urging a return to its size and concept.

Although some other pony cars have seen a revival, the Mustang is the only original pony car that has remained in production without interruption after four decades of development and revision.

Vespa / Piaggio
Vespa is an Italian line of scooters manufactured by Piaggio.

The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter manufactured in 1946 by Piaggio & Co. S.p.A. of Pontedera, Italy - to a full line of scooters and one of seven companies today owned by Piaggio — now Europe's largest manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles and the world's fourth largest motorcycle manufacturer by unit sales.

From their inception, Vespa scooters have been known for their painted, pressed steel unibody which combines a complete cowling for the engine (enclosing the engine mechanism and concealing dirt or grease), a flat floorboard (providing foot protection), and a prominent front fairing (providing wind protection) - into a structural unit as well as a singularly endearing and enduring shape.

As the first globally successful scooter, the Vespa has enjoyed prominence in popular culture and has come to symbolize stylish personal transportation.

TRAM
The world has seen the first tramcar operating in New York, USA in 1842, then in Europe (Paris in 1854 and London in1860); whereas those vehicles have started wandering the streets of Istanbul on the 3rd of September, 1869, operating in Tophane-Ortaköy line.

Bound by a contract concluded regarding the "Construction of the Tramway in Dersaadet and Its Facilities", dated 30th of August, 1869; the management of vehicles that were driven by animals and that comprised of the construction of railroads for the transportation of passengers and goods along the streets of Istanbul was allocated to the company named 'Dersaadet Tramway Establishment', established by Krepano Efendi, being valid for 40 years.
The first horse-driven tramcar started servicing in 4 lines; namely Azapkapı- Galata, Aksaray - Yedikule, Aksaray - Topkapi and Eminönü- Aksaray in 1871,and an income of totaling 53,000 TL was gained against 4,5 million passengers by the use of 430 horses during its first year of operation.
Afterwards more lines were added to the system such as Kabristan Street-Tepebaşı- Taksim-Pangaltı-Şişli from Voyvoda, Beyazıt-Şehzadebaşı, Fatih- Edirnekapı-Galatasaray-Tünel and Eminönü-Bahçekapı.

The horse driven tramcars that had been operating within the Ottoman Empire boundaries, then were established in the main cities of the empire and started operating firstly in Thessalonica, then in Damascus, Baghdad, Izmir and Konya. The Ministry of Defense took over the horses of the tramcars during the Balkan War that commenced in 1912 for 30.000 gold pieces; hence Istanbul remained without tram for more than a year. The Tramway Enterprise that had been turned over to the Government on the12th of June, 1939 by the law numbered 3642, then turned over to Municipality of Istanbul and then to on the16th of June, 1939 by the law numbered 3645, in turn.
The Tramway Management has reached to an end with the removal of tramcars from operation on the 12th of August 1961 on the European side, and from the Anatolian side on the 14th of November, 1966.
By the end of year 1990,the historical tramline of Tünel-Taksim has recommenced to service and it keeps on operating on a line of 1640 meters with 3 motrises and 2 wagons, making 14.600 trips, totaling 23.944 kilometers per year and carrying 6,000 passengers a day on average; as well as serving for touristy purposes.

The Concorde
The Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde was a supersonic passenger airliner or supersonic transport(SST). It was a product of an Anglo-French government treaty, combining the manufacturing efforts of Aérospatiale and British Aircraft Corporation. With only 20 aircraft ultimately built, the costly development phase represented a substantial economic loss. Additionally, Air France and British Airways were subsidised by their governments to buy the aircraft. Concorde was the more successful of the only two supersonic airliners to have ever operated commercially, the Tupolev Tu-144 being the other. The Tu-144 had a higher maximum speed, but required more fuel and had less range than Concorde.

First flown in 1969, Concorde service commenced in 1976 and continued for 27 years. It flew regular transatlantic flights from London Heathrow (British Airways) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (Air France) to New York JFK and Washington Dulles, flying these routes at record speeds, in less than half the time of other airliners. Concorde also set many other records, including the official FAI "Westbound Around The World" and "Eastbound Around the World" world air speed records.

As a result of the type's only crash, world economic effects arising from the 9/11 attacks, and other factors, operations ceased on 24 October 2003. The last "retirement" flight occurred on 26 November that year.

Concorde remains an icon of aviation history, and has acquired an unusual nomenclature for an aircraft. In common usage in the United Kingdom, the type is known as "Concorde" rather than "the Concorde" or "a Concorde".

Lz129 Hindenburg
The Hindenburg disaster took place on 6 May 1937 as the German rigid airship Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed within one minute while attempting to dock with its mooring mast at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Manchester, New Jersey. Of the 97 people on board, 35 people died in addition to one fatality on the ground. The disaster was the subject of spectacular newsreel coverage, photographs, and Herbert Morrison's recorded radio eyewitness report from the landing field, which was broadcast the next day. The actual cause of the fire remains unknown, although a variety of theories have been put forward for both the cause of ignition and the initial fuel for the ensuing fire.

The accident served to shatter public confidence, and marked the end of the giant, passenger carrying rigid airships.

RMS Titanic
RMS Titanic was an Olympic-class passenger liner owned by the White Star Line and built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland, UK. On the night of 14 April 1912, during her maiden voyage, Titanic hit an iceberg, and sank two hours and forty minutes later, early on 15 April 1912. At the time of her launching in 1912, she was the largest passenger steamship in the world.
The sinking resulted in the deaths of 1,517 people, making it one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The high casualty rate was due in part to the fact that while the Titanic was well within regulations for her day, she was not legally required to carry enough lifeboats for all passengers and crew on board. A disproportionate number of men died also, due to the women and children first protocol which was followed.

The Titanic used some of the most advanced technology available at the time and was, after the sinking, popularly believed to have been described as “unsinkable”. It was a great shock to many that despite the advanced technology and experienced crew, the Titanic sank with a great loss of life. The media frenzy about Titanic's famous victims, the legends about what happened on board the ship, the resulting changes to maritime law, and the discovery of the wreck in 1985 by a team led by Robert Ballard have contributed to the interest in and fame of Titanic right up to the present day.

What about the General Slocum? It was a steamship that burned and sank on its way to long Island, New York for a picnic. 1,021 out of 1,331 people died. It was the deadliest ship disaster until Titanic (the Slocum sunk in 1904) and the deadliest accident in NY until 9/11.
