seeing three distinct symbols of technological advancement, maybe four.  you've got the modern city in the background, the futuristic, "Tron"-like ground; and the groups of "primitive" people in various masks.  The tall one, it might be said, is not wearing a mask, and could stand for a deity or advanced ET race.  His head is alien-like, but it also resembles the moon; and he is holding grass or something, which could allude to agriculture or making clothing.  The shorter people are wearing masks -- perhaps to emulate the taller one -- and they are walking a domesticated animal, a dog.  I was going to mention that they seem to represent a family, but, as they all appear to be male, I suppose they either are a homosexual marriage or this is showing a generational rite of passage for male tribe members (they seem to be carring weapons, which makes me think about how the men in tribes often do the hunting).  At any rate, the dog is the symbol most connected to the title of the piece, and to me, it is warning against being "wagged by the dog."  Don't lose your values, despite societal pressures and a changing world.

or maybe it's simply saying to remember the past, it's okay to change, but don't forget where you've came from.

either way, top-notch composition, dok.

1st of all thanks for this visceral analysis!
Then you' re right, our society is soo shitty (I live in Italy, the presence of Vatican and old mentality/dogma is a curse, but fortunately i live in a small town ), and what you say is soo correct.
I hate the imposition of mentality or the bigotry (church), and this society don' t try to give any fucking good value to the people (just go eco, vegan and your soul is safe for eternity); freedom of expression is real or is just a flag for calm the new generations?
For me the primitive society aka tribes, is soo cyberpunky for our standard: the knowledge was of all, yeha, in some "specialization" you need to study from the masters, but things like the cultivation rotation or the preparation of the food was open to all.
There was a community mentality and not individual.
The two things can be bounded.
Thanks again!

welcome.  i have to say, i visited the Vatican before, and it was rather dissapointing to see all the materialism.  it was bad enough for me to see that they had to make museums out of all the crap they stole/raped/pillaged from the crusades, but the mall-style foodcourt and the gift shop really threw it over the edge for me.  saint peter's square is beautiful, though.  well, european archetecture in general is amazing; blows anything we have in the states away.

yeah, our society would be much better off if we could tune into that community mentality a little more.  i think the new pope gets it more than some of the other ones did, which makes me hopeful.

Nhaa in states the early architecture ('920+) is cool, yeah the eu is full of great ancient ones.
I can be honest? I hate this pope, is just a marketing move from Vatican to gain followers, is cool that he says something about the richness of church but is all the church that is crap weird and sick, is like the mafia, is full of corruption, full of bad habits and people that cover and protect those shitty money/moral action from the whole world (here in Italy there are some scandal, in one of them the press is under process!)

you're closer to it than i am, so you're probably right about it being a marketing move.  i'm hopeful that the man himself is sincere, but yes the corruption/mafia shit is deplorable.

Just saying what I think, a lot of people like it... And I hate the church as the majority of institutions!
