I think I've got a new RWBY doodle duo~

Tyr: So my thinking when I designed this summer outfit was "what would send you into cardiac arrest if you actually had to see Tyrian wearing it in the show". And so I drew that. ^^ It's still mildly disturbing, but I kinda like it, and I have some neat accessories in mind for the top half. Hopefully I'll draw him again soon and let you see 'em.
Another thing I made sure to do was to work his namesake color into it somewhere...and yes, he does have one. It's 'Tyrian purple', and for some reason, his canon design contains nothing even resembling it (excepting his robo-tail, although technically that's not the right shade)...heck, it's practically monochrome. I hope if they give him a costume change in Vol 9 (and they should; he deserves one) they'll rectify that. LET TYRIAN WEAR PURPLE YOU COWARDS

Merc: My boy~. It's actually really hard to design clothes for him...I do alright with his upper body, and then I have to try to make up some new pants to go with those damn boots of his, and it all falls apart. >:T Although, recently I was reminded that they're actually removable shells for his prosthetic legs...and thus, they could easily be changed/customized. Footwear is hardly my strong suit, but maybe if I designed some new shoes for him, I'd be able to finally give him a design I'd be proud of. We'll see...
Anyway, my favorite part of this summer design is the simplest one: the dark sunglasses. I really hope they give him some in the show; I just know he'd look great in them, and I think they go well with the 'obnoxious ex-boyfriend' persona he's got going on. ^^

Ahem...speaking of doodle duos, my other favorite boys Qrow and Adam will be getting summer designs next. Adam in particular was a labor of love, so look forward to that~
