Here's what took up the majority of my time this weekend: I wrote the story premise and just couldn't stop, and now I'm at over 2000 words. But hey, that's life. ^^'

Goodyland is a tale of witches, magic, sweets, mysteries, alien invasions and existential crises. Like, if you combined Madoka Magica with Strawberry Shortcake, you'd get Goodyland. Despite the super-cute setting it actually starts off pretty seriously; the two main characters are thrown straight into the mystery from the get-go. However, the real drama doesn't start until later~

...Goodyland, by the way, is the descendant of one of the darkest, most violent stories I've ever written. Before I came up with Deadeye, a comic idea called "Witches' Alliance" occupied the creep-centers of my mind. However, it had a lame premise and the plot was too fuzzy, so it slowly died. Later, I had the idea to take the art style in a more playful direction, accompanied by the new title and the rather juvenile naming system. But I still didn't have a good premise...until last Saturday~.

Twisty Roots is a peppy witch from the Licorice Jungle. At school, she makes below-average grades and is generally thought of as the class clown, although she does have a natural curiosity that will take her very far someday.
Her familiar, Helix, is bloodthirsty and cruel, despite his small stature and sweet smile. He hates Twisty's easygoing nature and believes he could solve all her problems if she would only let him slaughter her enemies.
