...Well, she isn't really 'lost'. She's found in the very first chapter, but refuses to take her position as head of the kingdom for personal reasons (selfish ones, tbh...but understandable ones, I think). ^^

Anyway, remember ...?
I finally got the story to work...but I'm afraid it's going to have to go full-on high fantasy (like with a war for the throne and everything) and although that's very unfamiliar territory for me, I think I can handle it. If nothing else, for the sake of this story I'm willing to try.

This is Rainless, the main character of this story (title pending...I've written 7 chapters already, but still). She is indeed a princess, who was raised as an orphan and now lives as a hunter.
She has a rather abrasive personality; she's not particularly mean, but she's stubborn, and perhaps a little too quick to turn on people. That's why Ebb is needed as a secondary protagonist: her sweetness and innocence balances out all that negativity. ^^

Her spirit-flame friend there is called Ardor, another sort of guardian figure like Thane. Except Ardor is more of a typical sort of guardian: always nagging and lecturing and trying to teach wholesome life lessons. XD He has secrets of his own, however...
