acrylic on canvasThis is a painting that exposes New York for the grungy, dirty city that it truly is. [although I love it and want to go back] There was a pole in Times Square that had tons of signs on it and I snapped a photo.

you are a very good painter but i think i am going to
critique it. Although its very good, its a little blurry and the perspective on the sign isn't very well thought out. take the perspective into consideration when you paint--its the only weakness i can see in your gallery

thank you very much about the perspective comment,
most of the things that i paint rely heavily on perspective, due to the fact that most of them are architecture, and it is really not very practical at all to sit for some of these scenes, as it takes a long time to paint most of them, so i use photography, and as we all know, cameras can do crazy things with color, perspective, shape, etc...

This is a great piece. I love the little glimmer of blue sky to really offset how grungy the city is.

thank you. i too, like the little bit of blue sky, and that's how it is too, all building and you can't even see any mother nature except this little sliver of sky
