Description  I took a shot of this very pretty mannequin at Bloomingdales Department store in New York City when I went there this year with my best friend LuLupoo A lot of the mannequins seem to be modeling this wonderful hairdo. Although this was a full lenght shot image I wanted to get a close up of her so her earrings and hairstyle could be better appreciated. I love the heavy eyelashes. Those were so fashionable back in the 60s and 70s era. The background of this image was actually a solid dark color which did not justice to this photo at all so I thought a retro background which has a very bright and happy look would go well with her photo so I found this one and thought it would be perfect and look really good. Well I have to say I liked the results because it looks good with her 60s look. I want to thank my dear friend jennaikikz who applied the background she is such an awesome person and gives my photos the enhancement I really enjoy. Also I want to thank my friends for always supporting me and my work. I am always so grateful for the inspiration it gives me. Love you all.

Thanks Tea for your awesome comment.  I just love retro stuff. I am glad you like this one. I am happy to have found Jenn she is reasonable cheap and she can take anything out of the background too and there have been many times that I have taken photos of images and I was not happy with the background so I deleted photos because of this.

grown up sons said i was born in the 
wrong era because i am all about love
and peace. Mainly my love goes to

Oh Kay you are a nice lady and there is nothing wrong with having a good heart. I would never want to be young this day and age. It's a horrible world we live in right now. If I had a choice I would still want to grow up in the era I did. I love animals too. For me this world would not revolve without them.

This is one awesome image Melissa. Something very hypnotic about it. I have to say she looks very retro and the background certainly was a good choice to use. It brings the 60s  to the surface. You have to enjoy them psychedelic looking colors. Loved these last two.I hope to see more.

Another magnificent presentation dear Melissa.   I am hard pressed to choose a favorite between the two so will simply say I love them both equally. For me, it is always a warm feeling of how things were in " the good old days " and why I love your mannequins so very much. A time when ladies showed so much class in their attire instead of such sloppiness nowadays with those dreaded T-shirts, baggy pants and un-kept hair etc.... I remember going to the store wearing heels and gloves having my hair in a similar fashion but not quite that high. Using tons of hairspray " Aqua Net was the brand" it is amazing my hair did not fall out and with all the bobby pins to hold it all. So much work to look like that. I remember finding matching shoes and purses and gloves even nylons and under slips etc...and custom jewelry all on the same floor in the department stores. I could find the dress, take it with me from along all the different displays and pick out what I wanted to complete the look. If they did not have the exact color they would dye shoes and purses to match. It was amazing and in those days we were expected to walk for blocks in super high heels with those pointed toes. It was a different era to be sure. 

Now about the presentation. I want to say that the background you chose is spot on and the graphics add immense pop to featuring her. I noticed right away that for instance care was given to math the colors as best as possible to the surrounding areas such as if you look at the earring on the right side that hot pink colors is a real match. The same with the darkest part of her hair and so on. Your friend Jenn positioned it perfectly.  

Now for the "pièce de résistance "  or "main focus"  the first thing I notice is that her pose is from a different angle as the other one and I thought oh! she looks like a very young Petula Clark maybe going " downtown " One of her old songs. I think she would have worn something like that. I have always loved those colors they are bright and cheerful. The dress is a classic and only really fitting to that type of long slim body type a bit like Twiggy as Lucy pointed out but the face to me is more like Petula's. It was an era of "you could not be thin enough" something I never was tall or thin Lool.

I remember the thick eyeliner lined top and bottom and how hard it was to achieve a perfect match while trying not to get that stuff in my eyes but never could stand to wear the false eye lashes. I did not like to use that weird glue to affix them so skipped that all together. They were so popular then and still today but not to that extend. The earrings although quite large have a feel of softness and lightness as they are quite secure with what would appear to be a clip on style. Those were much more stable than our pierced style used nowadays. I must day that the little flounces section just below matches the style of the earrings to a T and gives a subtle flowing feminine softness to the very simple style of the dress.
