In a darkened room he waits for you in the corner of your mind.His eyes shine red so vividly, when opened they illuminate the underworld.
Your only hope is that he closes them for just a second or so
while you execute your escape.
Your only route is straight ahead through the belly of the beast.
The depth of him is rancid, disgusted you have no choice
but to continue on in hope.
Through Hell and back you tread
with a heavy heart and tired eyes.
Visions of things long since lost are thrown right in your face.
Denial is not an option here, this journey is real enough.
Drained of all you thought you were, your strength is burried deep.
But the spade over your shoulder suggests you have a chance.
A chance to do what needs to be done.
A chance to come through this in one piece.
