Description Sophie is the large style pattern. She is in the Black Alice silhouette print with lace edges and crystal accents and a crown charm. Shes a keeper. I love this print and this doll.

I finished her last night and was determined to finish these things and move on with my crafty stuff.

Also these are the first dolls with my new photo stuff. It helps with the lighter dolls and cut the fuzzyness my camera can sometimes do to the dolls.

She is so cute. I really like her face - is that painted or embroidered?

its embroidered. Takes a bit of time but worth it as i don't trust my hands to keep steady with the paint brush.

Very cute look.
I was wondering, do you embroider the eyes with hand or are you using a special embroidery machine?

By hand. I very low-tech with what i do actually.

Wow by hand with so big eyes? I'm very impressed. I mean, I embroider the faces of my dolls, too, but am having a hard time to get it 'flat' as the fabric is stretchy. I should think about buying an embroidery hoop maybe, but normally I stuff the heads and then embroider the faces....

i normally stuff then embroider too but with this style i don't need to do that.

The flesh colored fabric is actually stretchy too but i interfaced before hand to make it less stretchy and more like cotton.

thats adorable, how did ya do the hair?

Its like making a wig. I did it in lines a little bit at a time to give it some volume.

I do the bangs first and help get there style with tacky glue.
