And I envy you for having work that feels much more complete than mine. Heck, you do backgrounds, even if they are just colors they add to the tone of the piece and makes it feel complete. I just sketch things mostly, can't ever think of what to add in the background ever. It's funny like that, everyone has something that they do so well!Β

I agree, the attention to light and shadow is definitely there.
The hatch lines look fantastic and bold spot blacks are what made this piece pop out.

here's a tip if you haven't tried it, put a piece of paper on the tablet, it makes it feel more natural

You certainly depicted it well, combined with him being a sinister character (who ends up retired), this is a nice character-establishing picture. The lighting and perspective definitely helped. i freaked when i was like OH MY GOD IS THAT A FACE????!?!?!?!? IN HIS HA--wait that's not his hand it's AAAAH 8"D

Haha thanks. I love inking in heavy black areas that hide alot of detail xD It gives me an excuse to be lazy and Β I always thought it looked cool and creepy especially when there is a face all black and you only see eyes xD

the helmet design choice. might also need to try and draw the underwater thing tommorow. but i wanna try to give my character a robo-pet like Rush or Treble and act as the equipment help and act as the versatile backpack. problem is choosing the animal
