We visited the Mauna Kea observatory today. It's the tallest mountain in the world, when you start from the bottom of the ocean. And it has one of the most important and valuable astronomy observatories in the world at its peak.It is absolutely gorgeous when you go to the top. You are literally above the clouds.
This was taken at a point on the way up.

Thanks! Yeah, it took a while to get one where you could see the mountains. Most of the time the clouds covered it up completely, and I really had to play with the exposure on the camera too.
But I finally got one where you could see them!
