I like your rendering of the characters! however, I think this picture perhaps would work better if you had chosen another theme colour for the background. all the red tones are drowning the red lion - there is simply too much red in this picture. the details do not come out right, and it is very difficult to focus on it. At least, that's my impression. but aside from that, this is a good picture!
