Looked at some of my animal photos and found one of a young swan I took while some of my friends and I were in a beer garden next to a lake last summer.Intensified the contrats/darkness in Photoshop and added the reddish light.Related content

theres a family of swans that lives in a lake near where i live thats been there for longer than i've been here..

I love the way the light is casted on the water. The ripples on the surface imply the movement of the duckling swimming along. The Duckling reminds of the story "The Ugly Duckling" in the way the duckling will soon be a beautiful swan because his grey feathers are being replaced with white.

I think the intensity of the bright reflection on the right needs to be toned down some... it draws the eye away from the cygnet. And it might look better cropped to more of a square-ish shape than full-photo width, but I'm not sure about that. Otherwise, it's spectacular! It looks like the little guy is swimming through a stained glass window, which is an awesome visual. ^..^ Good work!
