Description
This drawing was a commission the car is a '62 Mercedes Benz 190 SL.Done with markers, pastels, colored pencils and white gouache on A4 bristol smooth pad. The drawing was pretty hard to do because first I had a few problems to get the proportions right and it also was a challenge to draw the silver paint.Β
But now I am really happy with the result.

Very good! I like how you used cool and warm colors to color the car silver. Far too often, I see people draw silver cars using only shades of grey. I also like the slight exaggeration of varios parts of the car. This drawing is both photorealistic yet original, and That's what I like to see. Awesome job, and keep more drawings coming!

Hey A. first I want to thank you for you nice feedback!
Now to your questions: I use shinhan thouch markers they are not as expensive as copics but I guess they are as good to use as them (i've never used copics so I can't really tell...). The brands of colored pencils I use are koh i noor polycolors and faber castell polychromos; for this piece I used the former ones. The colored pencils were just used for a few strokes for example little chrome indications at the wheels or so.Β
The pastels took over a bigger part of the whole drawing. I used them for the chrome indications, for the windshield and also for making the colors of the paint smoother and blending the marker work. I hope I could help you but if you have further questions don't hesitate to contact me!Β
