I think the thing that really grabs my attention in your works are your skies; they tend to be dark, turbulent (or I at least interpret them that way). We here in the central U.S.A. are often subjected to stormy weather (what we call "Tornado Alley," with frequently violent thunderstorms in Spring and late Summer/early Fall), and your treatment of skies is very evocative of "home," regardless of however fantastical or alien your overall subject matter is.

For me, this comes across as a sort of "haunting familiarity," a resonance with my own experiences and observations that renders your work more accessible to me.

Thanks! yes I absolutely love to paint dramatic skies and landscapes. Gives me a sence of wonder and mystery
