Ya know......this could be an interesting story if someone wrote it about how women took over the soviet unoin. Just a thought....

This is real good. I must agree with you, the colours and style are appreciable just by themselves without the ideology.
Though I can't keep myself from pointing out one little detail... that's not the Kremlin on the picture, that's Saint Basil's Cathedral, a separate building.
Still a very nice pic. I think I'll favourite this. ^^

FYI That is not "The Kremlin" in the background. Thats St. Basils Cathedral.
The Kremlin is a historic fortified complex at the heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River (to the south), Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square (to the east) and the Alexander Garden (to the west). It is the best known of kremlins (Russian citadels) and includes four palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. The complex serves as the official residence of the President of Russia.
Aside from that, Im thinking of ordering your Revolution series and anything else in your gallery that catches my eye. Kudos to you from the Young Communist League, Toronto, Canada.

came over because of Revolution but I actually like this the best of the three . I think it's actually a bit more true to the style - but all three really come across .

I don't think you need to like the Soviet government or even like communism to find this style attractive. Both went so badly wrong and have such a bad rap now, that it's easy to forget the fervour and optimism in the early days of communist Russia--the belief that a new, better world was being created. A bit like the US in the sixties, really.

Really nice. Did you get inspired by the painting "La Liberte guidant le peuple" by Eugene Delacroix (link follows) ?

Looks cool. I just have a problem with her legs. They seem a bit stumpy.

Yo my man! I subscribe to the whole thing. I believe this last one to be the best of the series, even though they are all excellent. I think it's because the compostion is a bit cleaner, which suits my taste better.
You know I totally understand what you're talking about. I have friend artists who base their choices solely on whims and what looks good to them in a very spontaneous sort of way. But then people who don't understand how that works need some sort of explanation.
I have a friend who paints religious imagery and often adds winged dogs to images of virgins, crucifixes and angels. People are always interpreting deep meanings into it, but if you ask him, he'll say "I just like dogs".

Just wonderful! Emulating the Golden age of graphic design! Is it just me getting old, or do graphic designers and comic book illustrators lack something today that was once so prevalent?

Me likes it. I love the style and design of the era too. It was so bold and colorful. I bet this was a fun series to work on.
