There is never a stupid question, only stupid answers. On tubular magazines I never had a problem with any I owned or used. I mean you have to keep them clean so the spring inside can function but they are safe and dependable. They are great guns for what they are made for like lower power brush busting bullets. No prob, glad I could help ya. As a smoothbore lever-actions mostly are not unless you get a .410 shotgun, the only smoothbore that I know that exist!
