Just wondering about an egg hunt in the snow.
I thought northern rabbits turned white in winter.

I've done egg hunts in the snow...just a little chilly....haha. Cottontails stay brown, snowshoe hares turn white during the winter.

It's so adorable , I always assume that during winter, they will not be out and be like hibernating somewhere.Ā

Thanks, yes it was!! They don't hibernate that I know of. They're quite hardy, they do change colors if they need to. There hasn't been much snow though and it has been a pretty mild winter considering, which would account for this bunny being so brown still.
