Er, yeah I'm running behind ain't I?

Anyway, here's something a bit different. I recently came up with concept for an AU based in a medieval/fantasy setting? I'm still woolly on the details but once the idea popped into my head I got quite excited! I had to get this picture out of my system and get it down on paper. I watched a movie recently that sparked the idea, namely royalty and servants conversing in a close friendly fashion and such relationships being frowned upon by both the lower and upper classes. (Cliched I know, and it's probably been done before but heck, I've always loved those sort of romances!).

The initial concept for this picture is that Donnie is an apothecary who is allowed access to the castle gardens to garner herbs for his work. April is a wayward princess who quite often sneaks out of the castle for some freedom and dresses herself as a servant. This scene that I've drawn is when she sees Donnie for the first time and is curious as to why he is kneeling to her (since she's not recognisable as the princess).

Like I said I'm still woolly on details but I had the idea that the turtles would be expected to kneel in the presence of their superiors. Soooo, yeah still working on it. XD

I'll admit I haven't drawn April very much before but I'm reasonably happy at how she came out

AND may I just add... Urgh! So many LEAVES!
