Barlow's black? He's a bit more tanned than the others, but that's not black. Brock's more tanned than Ash in the anime, but I wouldn't say he's black.

Barlow is black. He just looks a tad paler than most. Really, it's not that uncommon in anime that black people's skin looks a bit less saturated in color.

i will freak out if she turns out to be the first gym leader and be a ROCK TYPE LEADER!!!!! if shes a rock type leader and not the first leader it will be fine, but im sick of rock type leaders, frankly. its time for a dark type leader! havent had one of those before. just dark type elite fours. anyone else agree?

Well maybe but the name doesnt always imply what kind of type they use. Often but not always. ex. Erika, Koga, Janine, Blue, Giovanni, Whitney, Morty, Chuck, Jasmine, Clair, Norman, Wallace, Juan, Maylene. Also Aloe is her name in the japanese version, we have no idea what it could be in the english version. granted, it could stay the same, but it might not.

Koga and Janine -> their names relate to ninjas, who commonly use poison in their killings
Giovanni -> "geo", as in "earth"
Whitney -> "white", a plain color
Morty -> "mort", Latin root relating death
Chuck -> another word for "throw"
Jasmine -> a type of metal, usually used in furniture
Clair -> "lair", like where dragons usually live
Norman -> "normal"
Wallace -> "water"
Juan -> sounds similar to "water"
Maylene -> "melee"

ok so what type is Dento? you cant tell because its a japanese name. you cant say that aloe is a grass type trainer if her name is in the japanese version. no gym leader apart from erika has had the same japanese name as their english name. so we shouldnt jump to conclusions and just wait for their reveal.

well, grass is usually a common type to find early on in the games, so its possible. usually the leaders have a sort of puzzle that relates to their type in some way. The snow leaders have slip and slides, the electric leaders have electric doorways to open. dento has questions on the three different types, Water, Grass, and Fire, so i dont know what type hed have, maybe it depends on your own choice, ex. if you choose mijumaru, he'll have water types. that would be new and cool.or maybe he has the normal type. i cant possibly figure out what type Aloe has, since shes a cook, and she gets you to answer cooking qquestions.
