I actually like the Supergirl in this picture a lot, she looks quite a bit sterner. She's what caught my eye first for some reason.
The whole piece is wonderful, I think it'd make a good background for a computer.

Really ....almost anything that works.
I use brushes...nibs...quills. Sometimes razors...I've even used a sponge once and a steak knife.
Most of the time I start using a quill.....then a brush...sometimes a pen depending on detail. Scan throw into photoshop and do some cleaning and touching up...darken...lighten up places.....throw in some white lines here and there.
Pretty much it just depends on how I feel.

ahha nice, yeah for some reason i like pens better, i only use brushes to fill in the really big black areas, i use my Pigma Microns mostly a 0.2 and a 0.5, and i use a Tachikawa brush pen ahha and i use photoshop to clean up some
i know a few ppl who do digital inks, but i've never got the feel of it

Digital inks arent too bad....just take a lot of time.
I love using brushes and quills......pens are great too....just have to make them do what you want...which means I go thru them rather quickly.

ahha yeah digi inks take for ever, but that Ctrl Z is really nice to have
what do you use for white? i just use a liquid paper pen which actually has a lot of control (its the only thing i have)
oh btw do you prefer a penciler who does tight pencils were you can really tell what he was thinking
or a looser penciler which alows you to implement more of your style into the piece?
