I decided to just have fun with the palette for this. I'm not sure it all works but I think it turned out kinda cool, right?

I'm not gonna explain all my convoluted grimdark AU behind this (it doesn't really connect to canon much), but the basic reasoning is Bill carving his symbol into Dipper's forehead over the Big Dipper birthmark (with implied symbolism about ownership and true names and blah blah blah. This is all related to a standing agreement that Bill has to possess Dipper whenever he wants, like how he used to with Ford, although in Dipper's case it's not exactly consensual).

There's supernatural side effects of his new third eye--his dreams become more symbolic and prophetic (not real fortune-telling, but sort of involuntarily skimming off Bill's knowledge in order to predict a bunch of possible futures). When he's awake, Dipper can close his eyes and look through his scar instead to see and understand traces of the supernatural (think Eagle Vision from Assassin's Creed).

When Bill's possessing him and he's stuck in the mindscape, Dipper can try to look through his third eye, but he gets hit with maddening, unfiltered nonsense visions of the nightmare realm, the type of thing McGucket saw when he fell through the portal.
