Description Well, here's a new and improved take on an older plush project o' mine-  It's good ol' Dr. Loboto, everyone's favorite brain-stealing dentist from the most excellent game, "Psychonauts"!  Yeah, I recently dug up the original plush version I'd made years ago and he...he had some issues:  His robot arm was missing a claw prong, and his head was nearly detached from the body.  So I decided to build another Loboto from the ground up, using a far better knowledge of materials and sewing techniques than my past self.

So in the Rhombus of Ruin VR game, *spoilers* Dr. Loboto shows up near the last section of the game, and it's quite a delightful surprise!
That new model had some nice detail to it, and he moved around enough to see tons of that detail so I finally got a lot of good references for the patches on his shower cap and the straps on the back of his outfit!  And they changed the buttons on his straps to diamond-shaped studs, which I thought was interesting.

Anyhoo, with access to a more detailed model, I decided to go all-out on this plush- the straps on the back are attached with metal rings, and are attached to the front apron with some golden studs I found at the fabric store.  I thought the studs would be a pain to work with, but nope, just bend some tabs in the back and they stick on quite well.  I also gave this Loboto a wire frame for the upper body, so he can sit up straight with no flopping over, and his hands and arms are poseable.

I hand-painted all of the flowers on Loboto's showercap, and hand-stitched the patches on it as well as the stitches on Loboto's head.  And the new Loboto model had an extra length of stitches down the back of Loboto's head, which I'd never seen before....Was it always there and I just missed it the first time?  Hmm...

I also made this plush with both rows of teeth- the previous one had a closed mouth, with the top row of teeth exposed.  So this plush's mouth can open and close, which, when paired with the fact that he has a very wide mouth filled from side to side with a lot of teeth, is just a little terrifying.  Why did I do this?

I feel like I can still make improvements on this plush's design...It looks pretty good already, but there's always room for improvement.  Welp, Version 2 is done, time to start thinking about Version 3!
