I'm stuck in We Happy Few mode, so have some more plush characters from the game! This time, it's the three main playable characters- Arthur Hastings, Sally Boyle, and Ollie Starkey! They're smiling because they're not having to deal with all of the stuff that happens to them in-game.

Arthur has the outfit that I really liked, design-wise. All that white piping on black fabric- it just looks so tidy and neat. I love the Proper Suit so much. When working on Arthur, he was pretty straight-forward- no problems or anything. I uh...went with his less wavy-haired, in-game model, though I do still like the old concept art of him with wavy hair...

Sally was tricky to get down just right, and I'm still not completely satisfied with it....I dunno...I just have problems trying to make feminine-looking chibi plushes. This is actually my second attempt at a Sally plush- the other one's face was a little...not so good, so I scrapped her and redid some pieces. Sally does have hair and eyebrows under that hat. The hat's glued on though, because I was getting all self-conscious over whether or not the hairstyle I gave her looked cute enough to merit a removable hat. In the end, I chickened out and glued the hat on. OTL

I was a little nervous about making Oliie- I've not had much experience with beards or balding characters, but oddly enough, Ollie was the most enjoyable plush for me to make. There's just something delightful about making tiny straps and pouches for an outfit, and Ollie's got quite a few of those. I had to hunt around for some plaid for his pants, and I found this plaid-patterned fabric that had a bit of a messy look to it, like it was roughed up in some dirt. It was perfect for Ollie! The coat fabric was made from a roll of fabric I found at an antique store, so uh...I have no idea what it is, but it has a rough texture to it and it frays a little, which gives Ollie a nice, weather-beaten look.

This is kind of random, but uh...I kept getting the names of Sally and Ollie confused with other names while I was working on them...I kept calling Sally by the name of Sadie, and I went a few days calling Ollie by the name of Fergus... I guess Sadie and Sally sound pretty similar...But Fergus? That uh...That's a Scottish character from a different game, brain, stop trying to make crossovers happen.
