I've been taking a step back from complex things recently. This is one such step. If you want to see what I stepped back from: [link] . That one takes over 60 creases at the start lol. I have this version as 24 steps, but it can be compressed to under 20 by omitting some unnecessary intermediate steps.

This model will generally hold itself together pretty well, since the rear and head flaps will lock together if done correctly. Thick paper won't cause a catastrophy, but it will be extremely annoying. Printer paper is heading towards "too thick" for this one, particularly if you work with smaller than the largest square that can be gotten out of a sheet of A4.

Usage Policy
This design isn't complicated, and the idea of pulling a crab out of a waterbomb base is not new, so it would not surprise me if nearly identical designs exist. However, I did develop this particular method of getting a crab from the base myself. If you follow my diagrams to create a simple crab and wish to post the result as artwork either here or elsewhere, please credit the tutorial you used to create the model.

I can attest to to the fact that printer paper is TOO thick! I got to step 9 with printer paper before giving up. I tried again with thinner magazine paper and that worked better. Overall, a cute little model.
