And yes I know there isn't a scythe, but I merely couldn't help but have him hold one. Just like I couldn't help but put the two together even though they only meet, truly face to face until it is Liesel's time to go.

is a he!!!??? when i read the book it seems to me that was a woman...but maybe the translated version distorsioned the words...luv it!!...BTW why is she so smiley! she was only happy when she was with maxi taxi!

Well, technically we don't know what gender death is, I thought death was a he (especially after watching the cartoon 'The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy'
And she is so smiley, because she has a book with her, she smiled when she was around books too. Don't you remmember, like when she was in the Governer's Library? She was so fasinated. : ]

Its litteraly AMAZING! This is what it says on the inside cover:

Liesel scratches out out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she discovers something she can't resist-books.
