Sarah from Labyrinth. Her ensemble is supposed to be similar, but not identical, to the movie. ‘Cause there is a story behind this if I can ever get around to writing it out.
This is the first half of a picture I’ve had stuck in my head for nearly a month. Once I finish up with the left panel (starring Jareth! It's almost done. He just needs hairs. :0), I’ll mash them together and play around in photoshop, but I think that the originals are strong enough individually to show on their own. It’s a pity you can’t see all the shiny that you can see in person. I'll try and fiddle with that later.
Materials: Copic Multliners and markers, white and silver gel pens, colored pencils, sealant, and an inordinate amount of nail polish. Levels adjusted in Photoshop CS5

It's actually pretty easy! A layer of marker, a layer of sealant, a layer of regular nail polish (in this case dark-purplish-red), and finally, a layer of crackle nail polish that forms cracks as it dries. It really does look much nicer in person, though, since it catches the light and looks more gold.

Oh, I know how that goes. I'm sure you'll have lots of people waiting to read it, I love it when there is artwork to go along with a story, it gives the imagination something to see and embellish as a tale unfolds.

It's frustrating because I have the best ideas when I really don't have time to spare for them! But it at least gives me a chance to work things out in my head before I really start writing.

Labyrinth was one of my favorite movies as a little kid, and I still enjoy it as an adult. Though watching it as an adult, I see things that I definitely didn't notice/think about as a kid.

I've never watched the movie, but I just finished reading the summary of it on Wiki so that I could read a manga called Return to Labyrinth. I don't know if you know about it, but I guess it's the story of the baby brother (who's now a teenager). I don't know the characters from the movie, but so far it's been an enjoyable read.
