Final + Painting Progress shots on Tumblr

I woke up the other day with an image in my head and had to paint it. (I originally imagined a horse in the stag's place, but I believe the stag worked out better. Though now it makes me think of Game of Thrones, and I kind of want to do a lion/dragon piece to go with it.) And then I spilled water all over it once I was done, screamed, and rescued it with timely application of a blow-dryer and later, an iron. I was actually impressed with the gouache's durability and that my mishap didn't ruin the painting.

Materials: Canson Mi-teintes dark gray paper, gouache, and black acrylic
