Hey, she's a dragon, so why not? ΒThat killer move was stolen straight from Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat, except here I followed FP's example and went for a bloodless kill. Β I wish this was canon.

Oh man, I miss this kind of fatality in later Mortal Kombat games! These days they're just trying to see how gruesome they can be and, while that's kinda the point of Mortal Kombat, I appreciated more fantastic stuff like this. And let's face it, Brevon deserved to die at the end of FP.

I never got into MK, but I can see the appeal. Β Better to butcher fictional characters than commit real-life murders, right? Β While the fatalities can be brutal, some are just awesome, like turning into a dragon and eating your opponent! Β

I saw the first 4 games in arcades and got into Deception myself, but I feel like I missed the point of the series because I came in expecting fighting gameplay on par with Street Fighter and King of Fighters. Deception was actually okay gameplay-wise, but a reason why MK isn't very competitive or memorable outside of the fatalities is because a lot of the characters play the same. You're really just playing with the characters you find cool to see the ways in which you can finish off your enemies, which is okay but definitely something best saved to videos.
I agree, though, anger management via video games has its uses. Sometimes playing a simple game to relieve stress is what you really need and that has its merits too, it's not always about deep experiences. I'll admit I didn't understand the appeal of games like Grand Theft Auto or Mortal Kombat until I was older and tried the stress relief approach myself. Let's just say I have new appreciation for fighting games as a result.
