Description Sticking his nose into the action, Whaleman pops in!

Ever since he was a baby, John Whaleman, had a ridiculously huge nose, so big he had poor balance and thus was very clumsy. Luckily this granted him a sense of smell ten times stronger than a bloodhound's, and can create a strong gust of wind just by sneezing. Over the years, he has become a high profile tracker, hired to find anything with a scent, from wanted criminals, to rare food ingredients, to the world's most valuable perfume formulas. Accompanying him is his young cynical daughter, who he nicknamed, "Boogie Bear".

Whaleman's lanky body allows him to be acrobatic and extremely agile. His nose is strong and durable, which he uses offensively. He can even stay afloat in the air if he exhales hard enough.

Before I had a cartoon idea for him, Whaleman was a reusable character that appeared in different comics I made for art college assignments. His first appearance was here: [link]

Tell me what you guys think of these characters! Would he make for a good series?

I can see that nose killing someone...

He seems like he could have a cartoon on Saturday Mornings (You know, with the weird plot of a guy with a big but powerful nose, it seems to fit in with 80's-90's Saturday Morning Cartoon absurdity. But that's a good thing though. It means you have a unique idea.)

Hm, Whaleman sounds like a better side character.

What does that even mean?

It sounds like he'd work better as a side character in a series, as opposed to a main character.

Oh I see.
Whaleman is pretty much Goofy, going on Indian Jones adventures.
Or better yet, He's the Inspector Gadget (except much more competent), and Boogie Bear's Penny. Penny was smart, competent, and did the real detective work, while Gadget was comedy relief.

A premise like that could work, I imagined Whaleman making a great detectives assistant thanks to his smelling abilities.

Theres an ideas though, his nose would lead him into "Goofy" situations.
