Description
So I was talking with my good friend about a character he created, [link] and we both kind of agreed that her outfit looked a tad too similar to Dizzy from Guilty Gear, so I attempted to whip up an alternative outfit for Azure using the same sort of themes as were in his original sketch.It's certainly not my best work, but it was a fun picture to draw.
Also, I gotta admit.. This picture looks like it will be really fun to color XD

Rwarrrr. I hate you Doom. You and your clothing drawing. This came out pretty nicely. Might need a bit more line variance would be my only complaint, but you draw with the pen tool, so that's not much of an option.

Yeah, Line variance is still something I'm learning.
I've actually been using SAI + Tablet for lineart ever since this pic [link]
It's still something I'm learning -- trying to get that perfect brush size for inking, and having good enough control of it to get some nice line variance.
I still use the Pen tool for coloring though, since I can use it to get pretty accurate with the shading areas.

Ooh. SAI and Tablet And S-7 is all sorts of fun.
I wind up changing my brush size from time to time I notice. I wind up using a smaller brush for hands and clothing things if I draw any at all. I think I do anyway.

I switch between heavy and fine lines depending on the drawing it seems. If I'm going to go for a more stylized look, I'll use darker and very varied lines. If I want more realistic, I'll use finer lines.
